Privacy
This notice explains how I Need It Back handles the information you provide when exploring dispute options, preparing a letter or buying a pack. You do not need a user account. The service is not a law firm, and information you submit is not protected by an attorney-client relationship with us.
What we collect
- Option finder answers: what you paid for, the amount, dates, payment method, problem category, agreement type and relevant follow-up answers. This form does not ask for your name or contact details.
- Letter details: your name, address, email, optional phone and state; the business's name and contact details; your account of events and requested resolution. Details are saved when you continue to checkout, even if you do not complete payment.
- Order records: an order identifier and access key, products selected, payment status, amount, dates and Stripe checkout identifiers. Card details are entered in Stripe Checkout, not in our letter form; the app does not receive or store your full card number.
- Feedback and support: whether the business replied, when you give feedback, and anything you send us for support or a refund.
- Technical information: the hosting and payment services may process connection information, such as IP addresses and request logs, when you use them.
How we use it
We use your information to display general options, prepare and save your materials, process purchases, provide support and refunds, send purchase-related emails and follow-ups, and measure use of the service and feedback. We do not sell the information you submit or use it for targeted advertising.
Who processes it for us
- Vercel: hosts the deployed service and processes requests.
- Supabase: stores answers, order details and letters for the deployed service.
- Stripe: processes payments and receives your checkout email and order information.
- Anthropic: when AI drafting is enabled, receives the business name, payment amount and dates, and your description of the agreement, events and timeline to help draft parts of your letter. Details you include in those descriptions are also sent.
- MailerLite: when purchase emails are enabled, receives your email, first name, business name, requested reply date, purchase information and links that give access to your order and feedback page.
Do not include passwords, full payment-card or bank-account numbers, Social Security numbers or unrelated sensitive details in your descriptions. This is not a confidential legal consultation.
Information saved in your browser
The letter form saves a draft on your device as you type, and the order page saves checklist selections in your browser. These use browser storage and can remain after you close the page. Clear this site's data in your browser settings to remove them, especially on a shared device. Database cleanup does not clear browser storage or documents you download. The administrator login also uses a sign-in cookie.
How long we keep it
A daily cleanup is configured to clear answers and results from the app's database once the case record is more than 90 days old, and to clear email addresses, letter details, copied answers and letters once the order record is more than 90 days old. The age of each record is measured from its creation, not its last use. Save any materials you want to keep.
This cleanup does not erase every record. Order and case identifiers, order access keys, payment references, amounts, dates, product and status records, and feedback may remain. Payment references can still link to records held by Stripe, so the remaining records are not necessarily anonymous. This process also does not automatically delete MailerLite subscriptions, support messages, provider logs or backups. Those records are subject to separate service-provider settings and retention practices.
Your choices
Email help@ineeditback.com to request access to, correction of or deletion of information we hold, or to ask us to stop follow-up emails. We may need to verify the request. Please identify the order without emailing full card or bank details. You can also use an unsubscribe link where one is provided in an email.
Keep your links private
Someone with your results link can view those results. Your order link contains an access key: someone who has the complete link can view and use that order. Do not share these links publicly. No website or storage method can promise absolute security.
